Government Overreach

Convention of States
Bill Patmon is a fighter. As Mayor of Cleveland, he will fight for your rights. He will fight for your family, your job and your safety. He will bring about change. He will make a difference.

In his current position, State Representative Bill Patmon works and fights for the people too. He knows, like most of us do, that the Federal Government has over stepped its authority and will continue to do so unless someone steps in. There are a group of individuals, like Bill, that have decided to take action and,  as a collective, have called a Convention of States under Article 5 of the United States Constitution.  Their goal is to stop the runaway power of the federal government. They believe Washington, D.C., is broken and will not fix itself. The federal government is spending this country into the ground, seizing power from the states and taking liberty from the people.

The federal government has overreached its constitutionally-established boundaries and has its hands in almost every area of our lives. Our children and grandchildren will inherit a bankrupt nation run by an unaccountable bureaucracy.

Article V of the United States Constitution allows us to call a Convention of States to restrict the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, effectively returning the citizens' rightful power over the ruling elite.

Working together, state legislators and American citizens can restore the checks and balances on federal power that were put in place by our founding fathers to protect our liberty from the abuses in Washington DC.
